Cultivation and
manufacture of konjac

It takes 3 years from planting to harvesting konjac potatoes.It is so delicate that one wound can be fatal and can cause illness and root rot.Only those that have been carefully cultivated are harvested.

The harvested konjac can be stored as it is or dried once to make konjac powder.
After that, various konjac products are manufactured using konjac flour. (*There is also “Namaimo-konjac" made from raw-konjac, which is a conventional manufacturing method.)

HOW TO EAT SHIRATAKI Noodles

  1. Discard water from the bag.
  2. Rinse noodles in running water and drain well.
  3. Add to soups,salads, or any recipe that calls for noodles. Konjac noodles may be stir-fried, boiled, steamed, microwaved, or eaten flesh.
